Black-led nonprofits shouldn’t have to work twice as hard for half the funding.
Yet, most Black-led nonprofits operate on budgets under $500,000, while white-led organizations often have millions.
We need to change the way philanthropy works. That means:
• Calling out racial disparities in funding.
• Pushing funders to invest in Black leadership.
• Building our own funding networks.
If we don’t advocate for ourselves, no one else will. Let’s demand better.
